IconNicholson launched a newly revamped Web site for Cabot (www.Cabotstains.com), a 130-year old global coatings brand and part of the $3 billion Valspar Corporation. Building off of the agency's award-winning personal notebook concept for paint products on valspar.com, IconNicholson conceived the site as a virtual creative workshop that enables Cabot's passionate and loyal customer base to visualize and plan their projects. Armed with stunning visuals and interactive tools, visitors can test colors and opacity, brainstorm eye-popping ideas, learn how to apply wood stain from start to finish or just let their creative juices flow as they plan their next home or office project.

CEO Tom Nicholson Featured Panelist at Ad Age Digital Marketing Conference
IconNicholson's CEO, Tom Nicholson, presented the agency's ground-breaking Social RetailingSM concept at today's Ad Age panel, "Retail in Detail: Where The Digital World Meets the Physical World." Nicholson explained how for less than the cost of a full page ad in The New York Times, Social RetailingSM generates unprecedented brand lift through word-of-mouth marketing. One of the first integrations of Web 2.0 with real world channels, Social RetailingSM virtually connects customers with their social networks as they shop. The application represents the tip of the iceberg of the firm's plans for its retail clients. Nicholson's panel appearance was cited as one of the "high points" of the conference.
