Small Planet's Las Vegas Bar List

Fireplaces and Tiki Gods to Soothe the Weary Exhibitor.

Vegas: every time you walk out of your hotel room you spend $25. Same goes for alcoholic beverages, there’s a bar every 10 feet. These are some of our favorite spots, new and old, and of greatly-varying hipness.

Commonwealth

Great Moscow Mules, lots of space, big roof deck. Perfect stop before dinner downtown. 525 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101

The Griffin

An L.A. transplant on Fremont, right next door to Commonwealth. Gets crowded, so get there early. 511 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101

Golden Tiki

The tiki bar to end all tiki bars. Nice for drinks before (or after) going to one of the nearby Chinatown restaurants. 3939 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102

The Chandelier

Ridiculous, touristy, expensive, and actually pretty cool. Right in the beating heart of The Cosmopolitan. 3708 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Champagne’s Cafe

Good prices, long history, great wallpaper. 3557 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 8916

The Peppermill Fireside Lounge

A personal favorite, please surrender yourself to 1981. 2985 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Huntridge Tavern

Coming up on 60 years as Vegas' premiere dive. 1116 E Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104

ReBAR

Funky, Arts District, and you can buy the furniture! 1225 S Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89104

The Parlor Room at Bavette’s Steakhouse

Great ambience, well-done cocktails, stone's throw from Aria and The Cosmopolitan. 3770 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

PKWY Tavern

Pretty far afield, but it's a lively scene and the beer selection is huge. 9820 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89147

Starboard Tack

New Vegas meets The Golden Girls. Super-popular late-night spot and excellent menu. Far enough off The Strip to weed out a lot of tourists. 2601 Atlantic St, Las Vegas, NV 89121
